  1. Introduction

    1. ALKNOWLEDGE is an online education platform which provides online learning for healthcare professionals and patients. The Christie NHS Foundation Trust (“the Trust”) provides this online resource subject to the following rules and guidelines.

      1. All users are required to agree to these terms before being accessing the ALKNOWLEDGE platform. By using the ALKNOWLEDGE platform, users agree to be bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately.
      2. If users do not agree to be bound by all the following terms, they should cease using the ALKNOWLEDGE platform and notify the Trust immediately.
      3. This Agreement applies to all persons accessing or using the ALKNOWLEDGE platform. This includes users, staff and other authorised guests.

  2. Copyrights and licenses

    1. Content must not be copied or used in whole or part by any user or 3rd party unless permitted by the Trust in writing.
    2. The Trust retains the right to enforce legal remedies where unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or exhibition of any ALKNOWLEDGE materials has been undertaken.
    3. Copyright of the course materials and content are owned and controlled by the Trust unless otherwise stated.
    4. Content must not be amended in any way.

  3. Data monitoring and use

    1. All activity on systems and networks may be monitored, logged, and reviewed by system administrators; this may include IP addresses, webpages visited and browser information. In the event of any infringement of this agreement such evidence may be used to support any legal action.

  4. Disclaimer

    1. The Trust reserves the right to remove, vary or amend any of the content which appears on the ALKNOWLEDGE platform at any time and without prior notice.
    2. Whilst the Trust takes appropriate security measures against unauthorised access to, alteration, disclosure or accidental loss of personal and other data, it cannot and does not give any warranties or undertakings to the user about security, confidentiality or integrity of data, personal or other.
    3. The ALKNOWLEDGE platform may contain links to other websites outside of the Trust’s control and it is not responsible for the content or accessibility of these sites. Links to such websites does not imply endorsement of them or any affiliation with their owners.
    4. The use of any information or materials on the ALKNOWLEDGE platform is entirely at the user’s own risk, for which the Trust shall not be liable. Reasonable efforts are taken to ensure that their contents are accurate and up to date, but no warranty is given in this regard and no liability is accepted by the Trust in connection with any reliance on such contents.
    5. The Trust shall not be liable if the ALKNOWLEDGE platform becomes inaccessible or goes offline for any reason.
