Dr Neil Meardon
GP (retired)

About Neil
Neil completed his medical training in Southampton, qualified in 1994, then worked in various hospital jobs before becoming a GP and subsequently senior partner in a busy GP practice. During his career Neil volunteered as a pre-hospital emergency care ambulance doctor for ten years alongside his day job. Since medical school, he has enjoyed teaching. Once established as a GP, he had the opportunity to develop the surgery into a training practice, and became a GP trainer. Later, he became a deanery GP tutor and trained other doctors to become trainers. During the COVID-19 pandemic Neil was diagnosed with ALK positive lung cancer and so took medical retirement due to ill health.
