About Matthew
Dr Krebs is Clinical Senior Lecturer in Experimental Cancer Medicine at The University of Manchester and Consultant in Medical Oncology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK. His main focus is on early phase drug development for lung cancer and precision medicine. He has been principal or chief investigator on >50 and co-investigator on >100 international early phase clinical trials across a broad range of novel therapeutics. His translational research focuses on the clinical application of circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) to guide personalised treatment selection and to monitor treatment response and resistance to novel agents. He is currently leading two national precision medicine initiatives as chief investigator to enhance recruitment to precision medicine early phase trials in the UK. Dr Krebs is also clinical lead for cancer genomics in the North West of England and Chair of the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance Genomics Steering Group.
