About Claire

Dr Barker graduated from University of Manchester Medical School in 2009. She completed her early postgraduate training and specialist training in the North-West deanery. She started her consultant post at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in 2023 and treats patients with radiotherapy, using advanced techniques, for lung cancers alongside brain metastases and pituitary tumours. Dr Barker has an interest in medical education and mentorships. She is extensively involved in teaching medical students, specialist oncology trainees and allied health professionals. She has organised well-received regional and national conferences on brain metastases management and is a co-lead of the Tessa Jowell SRS brain metastases working group in the UK.
